Personal blog of the Emmanuel Herold 23/09/18 – 11:27 p.m. I discovered this book by Jean Astier who practice in its class. How do I set up?

First we practice free text every day in the classroom, it gives us a consistent text bank. If children can not write, draw and they ask me a dictation to the adult they should copy. Then the children choose a landmark text, I added to the collection. All children are represented as an author in the book. This booklet is a reading support in the classroom.

We worked playback free debate. The children discovered the book, we read together, we played a little to find the words, and then we watched together and we gave our impressions. This led to a very rich time of reading, with index searches or text changes, see ideas for later. Children by first captured by their pride to present it, they bring back a part of their school life.

They can show their knowledge. This collection also becomes a tool to write the next text, because we use it to find words that children would need is again a time of clues and a real play time. Parents quickly seized because they receive the work of their child with great pleasure. They can ask their child about their life in the classroom, they can ask the children to tell.

For the first booklet (tentative name because it was a surprise for the children, I have not told them before the creation of this collection) there are a lot of pitfalls to not make restitution for printing. We must use pens, not pencils for the scanner. For the cover, print it on a color map to differentiate it from other files. Good reading.
